What can I expect at the event this year?
We are planning an “in-person” Fork Cancer event for 2025!
What time does it start/end?
Doors open for all guests at 5:30 pm. The event closes at 8:30 pm.
What do I wear?
Business casual or cocktail attire is appropriate.
How do I get there?
The event is located at the Richland Community College (1 College Park, Decatur, IL 62521). The event will be held inside the Shilling Center building.
How do I pay if I win a silent auction item?
The auction is held completely online with credit card payments. You must have a card on-file in order to place auction bids. We will also be able to accept credit card payment during item pick-up.
Can tickets be purchased at the door?
It is recommended to purchase your ticket prior to the event so that our restaurant partners can adequately prepare for the number of guests in attendance. Please contact Kate at [email protected] to confirm closer to the event if there are any tickets still available to be purchased at the door.
Do you need to be 21 to participate?
Yes, our in-person event includes wine, liquor, and beer tastings so all guests must be 21.
How do I see what items will be included in the silent auction?
Once items are live and ready to be bid on, you can click the “AUCTION” tab towards the bottom of our homepage to view all of the packages online.
I have a friend that wants to support the event but can’t make it that night. What can he/she do?
General donations can be made on this website by clicking the “TICKETS” tab on our homepage and making a donation online.
Will I get a receipt for my tax records?
An email confirmation of donation may be used as a receipt for online donations, including ticket sales and auction items. You may also email [email protected] to receive a full-page PDF receipt for any and all purchases made at the event or through our website.
How will my donation be used?
Fork Cancer donations will support the mission of the American Cancer Society by funding research, providing public education about prevention and early detection, advocating for cancer policies and federal, state and local legislation, and providing patient services such as rides to treatment, free lodging, emotional support and much more.
I purchased tickets, but cannot attend anymore. Can I get a refund?
All sales are final and help to fund the mission of the American Cancer Society.
